PURE EVIL=EXISTS

i belong to this group. a Christian group. we meet 2x a month to catch up. you know, tell each other stories of our lives within the Christian perspective, and a status report on how we are achieving our goals to inform others of the greatness of being one. yes i belong to a Christian group - not the scary type of Christian group but the cool type of a Christian group.

last night we met at a girlfriends house. we were just doing the casual type of meeting, but the conversation turned interesting. i haven't listened to those type of topic since i moved out here from my country.

as a gist, our topic last night was about some of our friend's (and including my) experiences of evil ala "Emily Rose" style. it was interesting because this time, we weren't talking or debating about how to prove the REAL existence of a GOD, but we were discussing on how PURE EVIL do really exist. i can tell you right now that these experiences are so vivid that it literally made my hairs stand up.

these conversations were so fascinating to me because ever since coming to North America, i have since become cynical to stories of "alleged" paranormal experiences of some of the folks from my home country. the idea of exorcism, possession, evil and etc doesn't seem to ring true in the modern world of the West because you seldom hear these stories nowadays. although, i have to admit that i believe there is a Western perspective on this phenomenon, which is explained within the context of mental health - and it is interpreted as auditory, visual, & tactile hallucinations that are symptoms of different types of mental illnesses. its a wonder how advances in science can provide a different perspective on things. but however this may be advantageous to some extent, does it really provide the tools for us to recognize that there really is evil around us and that with the existence of evil comes a balance - and an existence of the GOOD?

a product of wild imagination? hormonal dysfunction? a menacing entity that really exists within and beyond our real world? WHATEVER IT IS, ALL I CAN SAY IS, IN MY MOST RATIONAL AND CONSCIOUS STATE, THAT EVIL IS PRESENT AND THAT AS A NATURAL HUMAN RESPONSE FOR SELF-PRESERVATION, WE CAN CALL OUT, OR DO SOMETHING TO BALANCE THE STATE OF THE WORLD - IF NOT, TIP IT OFF TOWARDS THE "GOOD" SIDE OF THINGS.
