I'M OFFICIALLY A TRAINER...
i am excited to the new role i'm currently taking at my hospital. i applied for the E-care Trainer position while i was thousands of miles away, liaised with Clincal Informatics Director over email, and did an hour-long panel interview a few hours after i got off the plane.
might be arrogant of me to assume but i've always thought i had it in the bag already! and i did. and it is so rewarding to hear them say, "we had to do this (interview) in person in case you turn out to be a dud. we're really impressed by what we have seen and you came highly recommended by Elena (my unit administrator)". whatever i blabbed on about while in that interview i have no idea - coz i was half-dead from jetlag (good thing i had a good sleep in the flight because of the leg room that we got - Cathay bumped us into business class!!!).
boy, am i ever so glad i dont have to smell colostomy shit for 5 months. and God knows i'll be down in IT forever doing both things that i love the most - the art of nursing through the science (and math) of informatics... i do hope so... everything is turning out to be just as i planned...albeit sooner than i thought it would.
wish me luck!
