just to make things clear before i delve into my story even further, my baby is only 5 years older than me (in real life... but paper-wise, its 3 years...) so that's not too bad right? so he's not a cradle snatcher, nor i'm a grandpa kisser...
so as we were having dinner at an Indian restaurant, i stared right into his face and i noticed his "laugh" lines were getting, um, deeper... so me and my sister were teasing him about his age - how he is REALLY 12 years older than i am, and so on. soon enough after the laughter (he was joining us too...), the table became silent and so was the rest of the ride home.
well, i thought everything was honky dory until i noticed he was avoiding me. i'd go into the room and he'd gladly exit with his "it's hot in here" excuse. you see, my bebe is not confrontational - so if you hear or see us have one of our petty arguments, you would think 1 person was talking to/arguing with herself (and that is usually me, of course!). so finally after i convinced him to talk to me (after yelling at him a gazillion times...) and having extracting information by means of asking close ended questions, i got down to the very core of the disturbed affect...which i will not divulge in too much detail here coz that will be another story but it has something to do with AGE...
so i assured my baby that i have no young hunk giving me gifts (i know i said i won't divulge any info but that's part of it... hehehehe). and i promised not to tease him about his age (i'll just look into his face and burst out laughing...). and we all lived happily ever after...
