PRIME TIME DRAMA: THE BACHELORETTE

warning: this post is very biased, and very sexist...but who cares it's my opinion...

As some spring shows are showing their season finales, some interesting shows are premiering as well. one of these new shows is the Bachelorette.

ive never been a fan of the bachelor. i think these so-called "dreamy" bachelors are manipulative, pompous, arrogant, egotistical users who get the chance to flirt around numerous naive women in public because doing it on t.v. somehow gives them license to be dogs.

but it's different when its the woman who is searching for her husband-material. except for the kissing of multiple guys at one period of time (which i think is equivalent to being a slut - pardon my language), this process is safer. although there is nothing right about rejecting a guy one rose at a time, guys vying for the love and attention from 1 girl sounds more ideal than girls cheapening themselves to get the attention of a dog. and the end result of the show is more favorable and leads to a more positive outcome - which is of course, ending up with the perfect partner for life. because that is the ultimate goal for this show, right???

look at the track record. i still have to see a bachelor in the previous season who ended up marrying the girl of their choice. i've seen some of them propose but never got married. the bachelorette, on the other hand, had produced a marriage: Krista @ Ryan!!! i mean not all of them girls whose ever been on the bachelorette have worked out their relationship kinks either but 1 positive result is better than none....

anyhoo.... my favorite picks among the 25 were: Jason (account exec, single dad), Eric (the Greek hunk, senior analyst), and a toss up between Jeremy (real estate lawyer) & Graham (pro basketball player)

i hope this Bachelorette will find a lasting  relationship this time around.
