this week has been hell for me. i'm teaching this huge influx of nursing students and they have been testing my patience. or maybe i'm at the end of my stick in this job. no i think its them.
days like this makes me wanna take a large deep breath with a burning stick on my lips.
when you live in a multi-cultural environment you notice little things about each individual...
the "brown" people a.k.a. east asians a.k.a. indians, paki, and what have you... think they are superior and everything around them is stupid. including the teacher. never satisfied. even though they're the ones who sound duh-ish.
the "asians" - chekua, koreano... god bless them as they are smart, but the language barrier are making them look dumb. and by golly do they talk over you - while i am TEACHING in the class. and loudly too. so disrespectful.
the "flips" - smile lang lagi. kahit nahihirapan. pero smile lang lagi...
ang mga puti (canadians, north americans) - tries to appear they know everything. what else is new?
ang mga eastern european - cool lang. but sometimes, the language barrier sucks.
western europeans - just love the accent... hahhahaha...biased ba? no they are polite. especially the brits.
not so much africans - but when i have them in my class i love them to pieces. they're the most gentle person and nicest person i've ever known. and please don't confuse them with black north americans because you can see the difference sa ugali talaga.
