Feb 14 - woke up with the sound of stone being tossed on my bedroom window. i saw that there was a string tied on my finger and someone tugging on it. i got up, looked out of the window and there he was - my tommy in the next building, ziplining something on the string that he's holding which is attached to my ring finger. and then, i saw it, something round, with a glistening huge stone that could only be from...
The light from the bedroom window! fuck its 1200 noon and all of that was just a dream. Damn Zales Jewelers commercial.. hahahahahaha...
Ok I will start all over again...A WEEKEND OF UNFULFILLED PLANS AND UNPREDICTABLE ALTERNATIVE PLANS. a long blow-by-blow account.
Feb 13 (Friday) - Tommy and I decided to meet up @ Chinatown for dinner and a movie. I got to the corner of Dundas and Spadina and he called me from his phone, "OK cross to the bank I will be there". I crossed but no signs of him. i looked for him everywhere, and then i heard a giggle behind me - he was behind me the whole time!!! on his hands are a bunch of long-stemmed red roses (3). now i was not expecting this knowing that we were both broke. but the gesture was lovely... We ate @ a Korean place with his brother and his brother's wife (all expense paid) - no candles, no corny things like that just the way i want it. After dinner, we walked to Dundas contemplating wether we should go to Niagara Falls the next day for an overnight stay. No movie that time - was pooped. We went to my house and slept the night away. Yeah SLEPT (i do mean it). before we slept we spent the whole time giggling and laughing because we were saying sweet nothings to each other (as agreed - these things are odd to us so it was like telling each other jokes).
Feb 14 (Saturday) - my sis-in-law who works @ expedia said there were no more rooms @ Niagara Falls and all over North America (thank god coz we were really broke broke broke) . what can i say though a lot of people wanna get laid on valentines day. so we opted for an all-you-can-eat buffet for lunch and went downtown to watch a movie @ the ScotiaBank theatre. we picked "Hes just not that into you". It was a cutesy movie for me (3/5 - review coming up) but tommy ended up snoring the whole time. After the movie, we went to Indigo's to order Black Tea Latte from Starbucks and listened to CD samplers of world music from Putomayo (i'm craving the Afro-Italian beats... will look for it in ITunes). my sister called and asked whether i wanted to go salsa dancing so we went home to change to "meatmarket" attire. When I and tommy got to my house, i got sooooo sleepy so we skipped the salsa club. yeah, we SLEPT (no kidding - only PG stuff here guys).
Feb 15 (Sunday) - hmmm.. woke up again @ noon. spent the whole time debating with my parents on where to go for a TRIP Family Day - the choices were to drive down to Buffallo, NY; 1000 Island, Kingston; Ottawa, ON..etc... the discussion took till 3pm so there was no more time left for a long inter/intrastate drive so me, my sis, my bro, biah and tommy took an alternative: IKEA - not the nearest one as we wanted it to be a TRIP (i know we're pathetic). but what the hell Ikea excites me. i ended up burning money on new curtains for my room, 6 green stoneware bowls, and rose-scented tealight candles ($50). we decided to play bowling so we drove to the bowling alley for some fun. when we got there - we figured we will end up paying $15 each for a 2-hr game without dinner yet so we opted out of bowling and decided to eat out instead. we settled for this nice chinese restaurant that I and tommy have not been to for a while - it was such a good dinner that came with a very good price tag - we had to each pay $25 each! should have stuck with bowling then got a $10 dinner at a noodle place or something. but whatever. so for entertainment we decided to go back to the house to play mahjong but of course the plan didn't materialize since all that chinese food that we gobbled up made us all sleepy (sakit sa baboy). so we slept - tommy and i did while my sis/bro/sis in law decided to make it a movie night (they hooked the laptop to the big screen and watched pirated movies online - hehehe). overall it was an expensive day.
Feb 16 (Monday) - Family Day in Canada! was supposed to be a family day so we made it one by staying home and cleaning the house. i cleaned my room and my room only. hehehehe. so much for group effort. well i did help my sister uninstall her wall shelving unit from one wall and installed it on another wall. thank god for powertools. then i installed my new curtains - oh they are so pretty! in between that were movie breaks via the internet. we watched underworld 3-rise of the lycans (didnt appreciate it as the bootleg movie was too dark. need to view it in the real DVD) and the reader (good copy! was a good and interesting movie - review later). then tommy went home. I had dinner at a cheaper chinese restaurant with my parents. then went home to sleep. well not really. i browsed the net for information on how to stargaze until 1am. you see, i noticed this really bright star in the sky just to the right of the orion constallation so i wanted to confirm if it was venus. i found this really really interesting webpage that maps the stars and depending on where you are located, tells you which heavenly bodies are due to be visible at a certain day and time. i dont know why i'm once again back to my fascination with anything celestial. and oh, i plan to check the skies next week to get a glimpse of comet lulin so i had to know where comet lulin will be found on that date. and then i went to sleep.
YEP... got til here. so congratulations for reading all that! =)
